missingWrote a review on 18 Decuncomfortable sofalack of towel hangers
the bathroom lacked towel hangers, which is just absurd for a hotel. Sofas that aren't atrociously uncomfortable would have been nice. I almost gave a good review, but come on, where's my room upgrade for all this nonsense? I feel like a commoner instead of the VIP I deserve to be, so disappointing!

The breakfast was fantastic, with a slew of cold dishes that truly rocked my taste buds. Our spacious room was a perfect haven after roaming the streets. Renting bikes let us zip around and explore to our heart's content.
We struggled to find a good place to eat when we arrived. most spots were closed, and the hotel cafe didn't serve dinner. Breakfast on day two was underwhelming, and the same menu with no chance for a Japanese-style meal was a drag.

Consider visiting Akakura, a nearby venue with a lively atmosphere, perfect for an evening out, though it might not be kid-friendly.

Curiosity got me
What a superb stay! The spacious rooms and kind staff made everything worthwhile. With just a 5-minute stroll to Arashiyama, we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. The rooftop patio offered stunning views, and the breakfast was delectable. The attention to detail made for a relaxing getaway, even if dining options nearby could improve.

Why it’s almost great (but not quite)
Huge family suite with a comfortable layout and amazing showers. Free bikes for exploration made our stay enjoyable, especially at night! Staff were genuinely sweet, and the rooftop area had stunning views. ,
The location is very touristy, making quiet nights less likely. The mattress height was suboptimal, leaving us with a few bruised shins. ,

We had a fantastic time with the bike rentals, making it easy to explore the Bamboo Park and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The rooftop area was a great spot to unwind while taking in the views, and the family room was spacious for all of us. The breakfast could use a bit more variety, but overall, it was a memorable stay! 🌟

Awesome stay with the fam!
The kitchen was super handy for late-night snacks with the kids. Staff was genuinely helpful and made us feel welcomed. The only bummer was that the dining options nearby were limited, but the on-site restaurant had some tasty dishes.

Had an awesome time with friends! The rooftop garden was perfect for evenings, and we walked to the Bamboo Grove and the Iwatayama Monkey Park nearby. Comfortable beds and friendly staff made everything smooth. You can also rent bikes to explore the area easily.
Only downside was the lack of elevators, which can be tricky if you have heavy bags.

We enjoyed our stay here with our five adult children. The family suite was spacious with a fantastic view of the mountains. It was an easy walk from the hotel to the beautiful Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, which everyone loved exploring together.
My wife wished for more dining options nearby.

great space but dining options lacking
The Standard Family Room with Tatami Area was spacious for our family with two single beds and futons. We appreciated the friendly staff at the front desk, who made check-in a breeze. The location was convenient, just a short walk from Arashiyama station. We enjoyed a lovely mountain view from our room.
However, dining options nearby were quite limited, which was disappointing.
